Bookshops in Singapore: The heartwarming reason we still have bookshops

This is the story you don’t get to read when you go to a bookstore

I love books, so I wanted to make a video about bookshops in Singapore to visit.

But when I had a chat with the owners of the Huggs-Epigram Coffee Bookstore and BooksActually, I discovered how passionate they are about their jobs. I knew I had to make a video about them too.

Because it takes a lot of strength to be able to pursue what you want in life, when you know there’s a big risk of failing. I have a lot of respect for them.

Also, I can’t wait to upload my next video, which is of another great bookstore/space called The Moon. The people behind it are so passionate and have a great ethos.

Credits: Thank you Wei Liang for conceptualising this with me, Aileen, Amanda and Malar for giving such on-point feedback that made this video so much better, and Sham for the great camera work.
