The Moon: The most inclusive bookshop in Singapore

Here I feel like I’m at home and in a new land at the same time

bookshops in singapore, what to do in singapore, the moon

I wanted to make a video about bookshops to visit in Singapore, and as I had a chat with the team behind The Moon, I was taken by the safe space they built as well as their ethos to be inclusive towards all people. I knew I had to make a video about this.

When I’m there, I feel like I’m both in another land and at home at the same time.

It feels like home because the people are warm, and you’re welcome to chill on the sofas, just reading.

It feels like a new land because everywhere you look, you’ll find something interesting to check out. Whether it’s a book from an author of colour you’ve never heard of before, or one of the events that keep this space bustling with people.

I can’t wait to go back when I have time. 🙂 And I hope you’ll check it out too.
